Interest groups are at the heart of each u3a. This page gives a brief summary of the interest groups currently on offer through Halton u3a. You must be a Halton u3a member to attend the interest group meetings.

You can search our individual group pages by clicking on the the name of each group. You will be able to see what day of the week the group meets, how often and what time each session starts. Some groups meet every week, some fortnightly and others as and when the group members agree. Further information about what each group is all about also appears on the individual group pages, where there are also email contact links for the relevant group leaders.

Your annual u3a subscription gives you access to all groups. You can join as many groups as you wish - time permitting! Each group is different. Some activities are free, some share costs such as room hire or refreshments, and some activities such as a visit to the theatre or a coach outing are at cost. It is advisable to contact the Group Leader before turning up for your first meeting to confirm arrangements.

Groups are set up in response to the suggestions of members provided that a volunteer is willing to take responsibility for the planning and running of the group. If your particular interest is not catered for, please let us know, and we can discuss how we might get a new group off the ground. Feel free to ask any of the current Group Leaders about what running a group involves and you may find that it is not as daunting as you might think!
