History

Status:Active, open to new members
Coordinator:
When: On Tuesday afternoons 2:00 pm
1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Venue: St. Pauls Church Hall

N.B. Not to be confused with the Family History and the Living History groups.

The group meets at St Paul’s Church Hall, Widnes, WA8 7QU (access from Vicarage Road) at 2.00pm on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, except when the Tuesday follows a Bank Holiday Monday. Please check the events page of this website for the date of the next group meeting. There is a small car park at the hall and buses stop nearby. With ‘History’ being such a wide-ranging topic, we have been working our way through the British monarchs since Charles I and looking at what happened in their era. As we have now nearly caught up with the present, we will soon need to decide where to go next! No one is ‘the history expert’ - we operate on a ‘shared learning’ basis. Members read up on the topic for the next meeting and we then exchange the acquired knowledge when we meet.
