Welcome to Halton u3a! Halton u3a is a member of the Third Age Trust, a registered charity which oversees and supports all u3as. The u3a is a learning organisation for people who are retired or semi-retired and wish to use some of their time to learn new skills and help others do the same. No qualifications are needed, none are given and there are no exams. It is non-profit making and is run entirely by volunteers.

We provide opportunities for our members to enjoy a range of interest groups, all suggested by the members themselves. Members are able to join as many groups as they wish - see our Groups page for a full list of what's available. We get together regularly to meet new people, to try new activities and most of all to have fun and social contact in the process of shared learning. The u3a is a national self-help group with the motto ‘Learn, Laugh, Live' and we try and live up to that.
